Services I provide:
You might be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety that never quite turns off. Or weighed down by sadness, stress, or self-doubt you can’t seem to shake. You may be standing in the middle of a life transition—college, relationships, identity, or family dynamics—and realizing the strategies that used to work no longer do. You might also be someone who holds a lot together on the outside, but feels worn down underneath. Making decisions feels harder. Relationships feel more complicated. Daily stress has started to pile up in ways that feel unsustainable.

Hi, I'm Brooke Martin, LPC at Roots Psychotherapy!

I work with teens, college students, adults, couples, and families who are trying to find their footing again. My clients are often navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, substance use, relational concerns, and the stress that comes with change.

This is not about treating you as someone who needs to be fixed. You already have the capacity to grow and make meaningful change—even if it doesn’t feel that way right now.

My role is to help you slow things down, clarify what matters to you, and untangle the internal and relational conflicts that keep you stuck.

Your Therapy Experience

My approach is collaborative and respectful of your autonomy.
You remain in control of your goals and your pace.
Some clients find they only need a short period of therapy, while others choose to stay longer as deeper patterns and relationships come into focus.

Therapy is a place to build self-awareness, strengthen self-esteem, and develop a steadier sense of confidence in how you face life’s challenges.
The aim isn’t dependence on therapy, but growing your ability to navigate life with greater clarity, resilience, and self-trust.

I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and committed to creating a space where you can show up honestly—without pressure to perform, minimize, or have everything figured out.

Specialties

My approach is client-centered, and largely dependent on your presenting concerns, so I will utilize solution-focused and CBT for shorter-term work, while I would be more inclined towards psychodynamic therapy for folks who wish to go deeper and understand the underlying issues under their symptoms.

I specialize in:

  • anxiety/OCD
  • depression
  • substance use issues
  • life transitions
  • relational concerns
