Our Story
Why Roots?
Roots started with a simple idea: therapy should feel human. Not clinical. Not cold. Just real. As Bryan/College Station kept growing, so did the number of people feeling lost in the crowd. We built Roots for them—for the folks who didn’t see themselves reflected in the usual therapy spaces, but still wanted something deeper. Our Name & VisionWe chose the name “Roots” because real growth doesn’t always look pretty. It happens underground—quiet, messy, and often unseen. But it’s what gives you strength. Sturdiness. The ability to stand in the midst of uncertainty, pressure, and change—and still stay true to yourself.
Our Name and Vision
Our vision has always been to create a space where both clients and therapists can take root—doing the deep work it takes to grow into something honest and lasting. This isn’t a place for quick fixes. It’s a place to get grounded, get curious, and keep growing.
A Place to Be Real
A lot of our clients show up feeling like outsiders—like they almost belong here, but not quite. In a town full of beige buildings and cookie-cutter expectations, it’s easy to feel like you’re the weird one for wanting something deeper.
At Roots, you don’t have to edit yourself to be accepted. You can be bold, quiet, unsure, burnt out, tender, curious—whatever’s true for you that day.We don’t just accept difference—we celebrate it here. And you’ll be met by a team who values honesty, curiosity, and connection over perfection.
This place was built to be a contrast—to offer something more honest, more alive, and more you.
