Hi, I'm Kaitlin Parks, SHSU Graduate Student Therapist at Roots Psychotherapy!

When life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or full of self-doubt, I help clients make sense of what they’re carrying. I offer a space that’s warm, real, and nonjudgmental—where adolescents, college students, and adults can explore who they are and what they need. We’ll work together to understand what’s been holding you back, build emotional resilience, and move toward the kind of growth that feels honest and sustainable.

Your Therapy Experience

I incorporate techniques of person-centered therapy to emphasize the client’s collaboration and autonomy while working towards their goals. My areas of focus include concerns such as self-esteem, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationships, and adjusting to life’s changes. Sessions are personalized to you and your unique needs.

About Me

Having lived in California, Arizona, and Texas - I'm built for warm weather! Any activity where I can enjoy the sun is my favorite, but specifically, I love walking, hiking, and playing pickleball. If I'm not spending time outside, I'm either cheering on the Aggies with my family, trying out new recipes, or both! Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies and I truly believe that some of the best connection with others happens around a table with a cozy, home cooked meal.
