You might be feeling exhausted, even though from the outside your life looks pretty put together. You’ve gotten good at being dependable, caring for others, and doing what needs to be done—but somewhere along the way, you may have lost touch with what you need. Maybe the same patterns keep showing up in relationships, certain situations bring up reactions that feel bigger than the moment, or parts of your life simply don’t fit anymore. Therapy can be a place to understand how you got here and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have gotten lost along the way.

Therapy with me is a place to slow down and get curious about what’s happening beneath the surface. I’ll help you notice the patterns, relationships, and experiences that have shaped how you see yourself and move through the world—without assuming I know your story better than you do. I won’t rush to fill every silence or find a quick answer, and there may be times when I gently challenge the ways you’ve learned to protect yourself. Over time, I hope you feel deeply known, more connected to yourself, and increasingly free to make choices that feel like your own.
I don’t see anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, anger, or disconnection as signs that something is wrong with you. Often, these are ways you learned to adapt to relationships and experiences that asked a lot of you. Rather than simply trying to get rid of them, we’ll get curious about where they came from, what they’ve helped you survive, and whether they still serve you today. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and attentive to the ways family, culture, identity, faith, and past relationships continue to shape your life.

I was born in Panama, raised in Miami, and have called Texas home for the past few years. Outside of work, you'll usually find me trying a new restaurant with friends and family, baking something sweet, hiking, playing golf, or watching soccer. I'm also a firm believer in having a good background show on while getting things done around the house—Seinfeld, Superstore, and The Great British Baking Show are some of my favorites. I'll gladly take just about any excuse to spend a day at the beach, and I love to travel whenever I can, with Spain, New Zealand, and Washington among my favorite places I've visited. Shopping for clothes, home decor, and sneakers are a few of my favorite hobbies, and I'll never pass up a long walk with a good playlist, a French pastry—or really any pastry—or the chance to stop and pet a dog. My ideal weekend is wonderfully simple: a morning walk, a patio breakfast with something flaky and buttery, time near the water, a little shopping, and dinner around a table with the people I love. I've found that these ordinary moments are often the ones that make life feel more fulfilling.
It is a joy to be hidden, and disaster not to be found. - D.W. Winnicott
